Digital Art is a passion of mine. It is cutting edge stuff - artists around the world are finding new ways to express themselves using the computer as a tool. Once the programs than enable creativity are mastered it enables total freedom of expression - its like photography of the mind. The process requires patience and hard work. I using modelling programs to form the models I plan to use. Once designed, the models are given textures, lighting is positioned and a 'picture' taken using the computer. So in that sense it is similar to photography, but using many of the skills of a sculptor. Eventually all my work goes through programs like Photoshop for final manipulation and finalising. "Do not judge art by the labour involved, but by the insight displayed" The end product can then be printed onto any media, although I prefer canvas and photopaper for printing. I always use quality printing products and much of my work is limited to a few copies. Conceptually I struggle to stay with one theme, preferring instead to go where my imagination takes me, so I end up with a wide range of themes and ideas. |
